I just returned from a special “INVITE ONLY” showcase. In all of the ‘showcases’ that I helped with, this one had the largest collection of talented players in one place that I have ever seen. I paid special attention the the hitters during batting practice and during the game. What resonated the most about the hitters was this: Most good hitters hit very well in batting practice..Because..Batting Practice is a “predictable environment”. But when the game began, not everyone hit well. Why ? It’s because the game pitches are ”unpredictable”. And in this setting, the BEST hitters rise to the top. The Best hitters rise to the top, BECAUSE..most good hitters, have a good FEELING for .. TIMING!
